About a month ago I finally switched my main workstation from Windows 11 to Debian 13. So far, it has served me much better than any of my prior Linux experiments, and I would recommend trying it, especially if you dislike design choices behind modern Ubuntu. I have also changed my citation manager from EndNote to Zotero, and I’m very pleased with this change as well.
